Free Items

Below are the locations of the free items you can attain, during this spooky party

Pitchfork Item

Location: Snow Forts

You can claim your free pitchfork by clicking on the barrel placed in Snow Forts.

Witch Background

Location: Dock

Click on the crystal ball placed in the middle of the room to receive a free Witch Background.

Hunter Background

Location: Snow Forts

You can claim the hunter background at the same location by clicking on the podium on the right.

Wildling Background

Location: Iceberg

You can claim your free Wilding Background by clicking on the small paper note in the middle!

Fae Background

Location: Hidden Lake

You can claim your free Fae Background by clicking on the small white paper note on the red table! The Hidden Lake can be accessed from Forest, there is a small stairway on the bottom left.

Storm Lantern

Location: Dark Chamber

Step 1: You can access the Dark Chamber by going to forest, where you will see a wooden board labelled as “Dark Chamber”, waddle your way there.

Step 2: You will have the solve the little piano puzzle, just copy the animation three times to gain access to the Dark Chamber.

Step 3: A pile of lanterns can be found once you enter the dark chamber, waddle upto it and you can claim your free storm lantern, which will help you navigate through the camber

Purple Bat Wings

Location: Monster Maker Lab

Navigate through the Dark Chamber to make your way to the Monster Maker Lab, a pile of purple bat wings are stashed on the right side. Click on it to claim your free item!

Creepy Candle

Location: Haunted House

To access the haunted house, you must go back to Forest, head your way to the wooden board labelled as “Haunted House“. This will take you to the entrance of the haunted house, waddle your way in and you will find the Creepy Candle on the top left side of the house, you must waddle your way up the stairs to claim the free item!

Old Miners Helmet

Location: Cave Mine

Waddle to the old miners helmet area to obtain this special item.

Moonlight Candies

Moon Candy is a new currency introduced for the Halloween Party 2026. It can be used to purchase items from each crests’ catalog, as well as additional rewards available in the Moon Candy Catalog.

There are two main ways to earn Moonlight Candies: exploring the Limbo Maze and playing the new Trick-or-Treat minigame/igloo-exploring.

LIMBO MAZE

The Limbo Maze can be accessed from the Beacon. While exploring the maze, you will come across Moon Candy floating above different piles. Simply walk over the candy to collect it.

Important Note: Each pile can only be collected once and will not respawn after you claim it.

A detailed guide on how to ace the maze will be few sections below, keep reading the guide to find it out!

TRICK-OR-TREAT

Step 1: You can access the Trick-or-Treat minigame by clicking the Moon Candy icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

Step 2: The interface includes a question mark button. However, here are the important steps and a few useful tips.

Step 3: Be sure your Igloo Privacy is set to PUBLIC. This is required for other penguins to visit your igloo and participate.

Step 4: Once your igloo is public, reopen the Trick-or-Treat interface and click Claim! to receive the Pile O’ Moon Candy.

Step 5: Place the Pile O’ Moon Candy somewhere inside your igloo. Once it has been placed, waddle over the pile to begin playing.

Tip: Try hiding your candy pile somewhere difficult to find. The longer it takes other penguins to locate your candy, the more Moon Candy you can earn.

Tip 2: Standing on your candy pile will allow you to travel to other penguins’ igloos. Once you arrive, search for their hidden Pile O’ Moon Candy. Try to find it as quickly as possible, as finding the pile faster will help you earn more Moon Candy.

The Moonlight Candies Catalog is found by clicking the candy on the top right of your screen, then entering the catalog through there.

Crests

Club Penguin Journey have introduced Crests for the new Halloween 2026 party. There are five crests which are: Fae, Vampire, Wildling, Hunter, and Witch. Each species has its own shrine on the island, and each shrine has its crest, its catalog, and a free background.

Not sure who you are? Take the quiz first. Click the checklist icon at the top right and answer 5 questions. You can retake it as often as you like, so keep going until you land on your aura.

Limbo Maze Guide & Prizes

Find your way through the Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party 2026 Limbo Maze with our map, and step-by-step walkthrough.

To enter the Limbo Maze, head to the Beach and enter the Castle.

Walk up the stairs toward the “TO TOP” sign

and you’ll find the entrance to the maze there.

Below is a map of the Limbo Maze:

Touching the void will send you back to the last checkpoint you reached, marked by the red squares on the ground.

Once you reach the end of the Limbo Maze, make sure to collect the Crimson Rose before exiting!

Once you exit the maze, you’ll enter the Vampire Castle, where you’ll meet the Empress and Emperor. Talk to them to receive the Vampire Background!

To meet the Moon Spirit, equip the Crimson Rose in your hand. The blue rose in the corner will turn red. Waddle over to the red rose to be transported to the Moon Dimension.

Once there, click on the Moon Spirit to talk to her and claim your Crimson Moon Background!

In Room 2 of the Limbo Maze, you can collect a free Black Ghost Costume! After claiming your first one, additional costumes will cost 50 Moon Candy each.

Quest Guide

There are 18 quests available during the Halloween 2026 Party. More quests will be unlocked on a later date! You can access the party quests by clicking on the icon below:

Green Quests (Easy Difficulty)

The Cards Have Spoken: You must go to the Coffee Shop and head upstairs to the Book Room. Walk up to the Fortune Teller’s booth, click on start, and pick one of the 3 cards. You get a tarot poster for your igloo and the quest is done. Important to note: you can only do one reading every 30 minutes. There are 22 posters to collect from the fortune teller!

Heir to the Crest: Pick up your species’ crest. Once you have been assigned a crest, click on visit the shrine and pick up it’s respective crest to complete the quest. You must choose carefully as you can only pick up one crest, you can’t switch species.

Castle Trust Fall: Prove your trust to the Crimson Moon at the old vampire castle – Go to the Beacon which can be accessed by going to the Beach > Lighthouse. Step into the portal to enter the Limbo Maze and entering the maze completes the quest.

What Lurks Within?: Answer all 5 questions and take the quiz to find your species. Don’t like your result? Retake it as many times as you want.

Quest 7 unlocks on a later date

Yellow Quests (Medium Difficulty)

Sweets in the Shadows: Find the hidden candy in the Limbo Maze. To complete this quest, walk up to any pile of candy in the Limbo Maze with the candy icon floating over it.

Knock Knock, Trick or Treat!: First off you would need to open your igloo and leave it open. Click the Moon Candy icon at the top right and claim your Pile O’ Moon Candy and place it anywhere in your igloo. Step on the candy pile to join the hunt. Pick a listed igloo and once you get there, the room goes dark and you get 60 seconds to find their candy. Find it in 10 different igloos to finish.

Waddle-In Fright Night: Make your way to the Dance Lounge (which can be accessed from the Night Club) and watch the full length of the Night of the Living Sled 2 movie.

Blue Quests (Hard Difficulty)

Quest 14 unlocks on a later date

Kindred Spirits: Wear the same 4 items as another penguin there from your selected crest. Any items count, but your species’ catalog pieces are the easy pick. Quick note: Do it with friends to speed things up or go to a popular server and your crests’ designated shrine, you may find people trying to complete the quest as well. Stock up on Moon Candy beforehand if you need to buy items.

Escape from Limbo: To complete this quest, you will need to finish the Limbo Maze and enter the Vampire Castle to earn this quest.

Red Quest (Extreme Difficulty)

Attack of the Puffle Clones: Match one puffle item with 30 penguins at the Pet Shop.

Step 1: You need a puffle for this one, go equip your puffle if you haven’t.

Step 2: Put an item on your puffle (the Pet Furniture Catalog has outfits) and head to the Pet Shop.

Step 3: Get 30 penguins wearing the same puffle item. Go to a popular server like Blizzard and make your way to the Pet Shop.

To earn this stamp, you must complete the Dark Chamber Maze accessible through the Forest.

To complete this quest, you can dress up as any Monster Maker catalog during the Halloween Party (available at the end of the Dark Chamber maze)

Music Maestro

To earn this stamp, complete the Organ Puzzle at the Dark Chamber (accessible through the Forest)

Mascots

Gary and Dot are both visiting the island during the Halloween Party! They will be giving away free exclusive backgrounds that you can only claim during the party.

If you are already friends with either mascot you can claim their background directly from your friends list without needing to meet them in person!
